Meet Cynthia Wilburn-Polk

Cynthia Wilburn-Polk brings more than 20 years of caregiving experience to Retha's Independent Shared Living. As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), she has worked with individuals with disabilities and special needs, providing personal care, assistance with daily living activities, and compassionate emotional and social support.Her professional training includes Adult Residential Facility Administration, Direct Support Professional Years 1 and 2, and National Caregiver Certification, along with continuing education in working with aging populations, infection control and maintaining healthy environments, safety and fall prevention, and emergency planning and response.

Throughout her career, Cynthia has remained committed to helping others live with greater dignity, stability, and independence. She believes that a safe home is about more than having a place to live - it is about creating an environment where people feel respected, supported, and valued.Through Retha's Independent Shared Living, Cynthia continues a family mission of serving others and providing a stable, respectful living environment for adults who are able to live independently but benefit from the structure and community of shared housing.
